Obituary for Betty Ruth Hollis
Betty Ruth Hollis, 94, of Martinsburg, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Clary-Grove Nursing Home.
Born March 20, 1922, in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late Willard F. Collier and Mildred Virginia.
She was of the Lutheran faith.
Betty retired from the VA Medical Center’s nursing service.
She is survived by her son, Jan Michael Hollis, and wife, Joan, of Ellicott City, Maryland, daughter, Ann C. Shaffer and son-in-law, James Shaffer, of Martinsburg, four grandchildren, and four great grand-children.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert I. Hollis.
Family and friends are invited to an open house reception celebrating her life at the home of her daughter, Ann, at 102 Cass Drive, Martinsburg, on July 23rd from 2:00 – 4:00PM.
Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Home.
