Obituary for Adam Douglas Hicks
Adam Douglas Hicks, 31, of Charles Town, passed away Saturday, August 29, 2020. Born October 12, 1988, in Coudersport, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Floyd Manley Hicks and the late Judy Ann Howell Hicks.
Adam was of the Christian faith. He was a devoted father, son, brother, and best friend. He was an adventurous man who loved grilling out with his friends and family. He worked in maintenance for Dulyea Construction. He had a contagious smile and a heart of gold and will be dearly missed.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his two children, Cody and Raechel; brothers, William Hicks, and wife Mary, of Charles Town; Brian Hicks and wife Heather of Crossville, Tennessee, Dennis and Daniel Combs of West Jefferson, North Carolina, sisters: Shelley Hicks, and husband Walter, of Martinsburg, Maria Hicks, and husband Kenny, of Harpers Ferry, Emily Lowery, and husband Ron, of Rosman, North Carolina, Tianna Jackson, of Columbus, North Carolina, Penny Britt and husband Kenny of Bluefield, West Virginia, Diane Roten and Angel Coldiron, both of West Jefferson, North Carolina and many cousins and friends.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his brother, Peter “Petey” Hicks.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, September 12, 2020 at the Heritage Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Thomas “Huff” Hoffmaster, II officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
