Obituary for Albert Monroe Thomas Welch
Albert Monroe Thomas Welch, 88, of Martinsburg, got his wings on Wednesday, July 29, 2020.
Born November 16, 1931 in Richmond, VA, he was the son of the late James Paul Welch, Sr., and Lula Pearl McNabb Bricker.
Albert was a veteran of the US Navy where he served on the USS WASP from 1947 through 1952.
He is survived by two sons, Kevin Welch and wife, Nancy of Laguna Beach, CA, and Shawn Welch and wife, Connie of Richmond, VA; three daughters, Debra Naill of Martinsburg, Kim Tucker of Richmond, VA, Kellea Parker and husband, Eugene of Manteo, NC.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Tommie Jean Welch; three brothers; son-in-law, Steven Naill.
The family would like to thank his girls, Jessica (Sarge) Seibert, Carol Sims, Sharon Tobin, and the staff at Berkeley Senior Center and Willow Tree Nursing Home for their love and care.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Services and interment will be private.
