Obituary for Anthony Wayne Bowers II
Anthony Bowers of Martinsburg went home to be with the Lord on September 23, 2020 due to medical issues.
He was born August 9, 1984 in Winchester, VA to Anthony (Tony) Bowers and Michelle Kendrick.
He was preceded in death by his Grandmother, Linda Kitchen.
Anthony is survived by his Father, Anthony (Tony) Bowers, Mother, Michelle Kendrick, Stepfather, Leo Kendrick, Wife, Kim Bowers, Maternal Grandparents, Ray and Melinda Kitchen of Martinsburg,West Virginia, Grandmother, Peggy Ridenour of Hagerstown, MD, Paternal Grandparents, Dave and Vickie Bowers, of Port Richey, Florida, Doug and Rosalie Files of Hedgesville, West Virginia, three daughters, Alayna Bowers-Kendrick, Breanna Campbell, Emma Maphis, one son, Kayden Bowers, two step daughters, Sarenity and Sariah Cook, three brothers, Christopher Nails, Ben Bowers, Brandon Kendrick, and one sister, Terri (Bowers) Leon.
Anthony attended South Hagerstown High School where he was actively involved in the school Wrestling Program. He was looked at by Recruiters from the National Organization that assist College Coaches in Scholarship Opportunities. He was also selected to attend the People to People Sports Ambassador Meeting in 2001 where he would have wrestled in Foreign Competition. He later attended and graduated from the Harpers Ferry Job Corp earning his GED and Office Business Training Certificate.
The Family viewing will be private at Brown's Funeral Home.
A memorial service will follow at Independent Bible Church, 2306 Hedgesville Rd., Martinsburg, WV on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 2:30 pm with meal to follow. Visitors will be required to wear face masks, practice social distancing, and follow directives.
Cremation will take place later by Brown's Funeral Home per Anthony's wishes.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Anthony's name can be made to the Independent Bible Church.
