Obituary

Obituary for Braden Allen "BAM" Butts-Mosby

Braden Allen Butts-Mosby aka BAM, age 15, of Bunker Hill, earned his Angel Wings on, August 16, 2020 at the Inova Children's Hospital in Fairfax, VA. Born October 3rd, 2004 in Winchester, VA, he is the son of Eve Butts and Chris Mosby.

BAM, although he was born early, his presence was larger than his stature. Known by his mother as her miracle baby, he has always been a very determined child. BAM’S love of sports came early, and although he loved most, football was his biggest passion. He started in Pee Wee and played travel football in the DMV area, in which he gained recognition as a DB. He was also a huge Baltimore Ravens fan. Pink was his favorite color in honor of his grandmother Pam’s fight with breast cancer. He was always active, dancing, swimming, joking around and playing Xbox, but hanging with his friends was what he enjoyed the most.

He was known for a lot of things, but he will mainly be remembered for his friendly demeanor and that bright beautiful smile.

In addition to his parents, BAM is survived by his brother Tyree Mosby, and sister Haliana Butts; grandparents Bruce Allen Butts, Sr. and wife Pat, step grandfather Jack Alexander (pawpaw), uncles Bruce Butts Jr. and Charles “Chuck” Mosby, Jr., aunts, Phoebe, Estina and Jewell. Step aunts Randi Thompson and Crystal Albert, step uncle David Dudley, and a host of cousins.

BAM was proceeded in death by grandfather Charles “Buck” Mosby, and grandmothers Pamela Alexander and Charlotte Crist Mosby.

The Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood will only be open for family to receive friends from the hours of 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.on Friday, August 28, 2020.

I'm so sorry Eve and Haliana to hear about Brady. I've only known him for a little while but enjoyed being with him. We had fun taking him to the park, dinner and shopping with his sister Haliana. We laughed with each other, always joking around, I admired him for always looking out for his sister. I will never forget you Brady, rest in God's loving arms till we meet again. ❤❤❤ Brenda and Jack
