Obituary for C. Elizabeth Stevens
C. Elizabeth Stevens, 88, of Martinsburg, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 3, 2020 at Holly Place in Hagerstown, MD.
Born January 2, 1932 in Washington Co., Maryland, she was the daughter of the late John Clayton Shifler and Ethel Katheryn (Lynch) Shifler.
She was a member of the Shenandoah Bible Baptist Church.
She retired from the VA Medical Center as a LPN and was a member of the Isaac Walton League.
She is survived by one son, Robert L. Stevens and wife, Luanne, of Martinsburg; two grandchildren, Robert L. Stevens, and Sheila J. Stevens; six grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; one brother, William E. Shifler of Delaware ; and two sisters, Mary C. Hutton and Mildred I. Raudabaugh.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Emmanuel Stevens; and two brothers, James C. Shifler and Robert H. Shifler.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, August 6, 2020 at Shenandoah Bible Baptist Church with Pastor Corey Bane officiating. The family will receive friends from the hours of 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM prior to the service. Visitors will be required to wear face masks, practice social distancing, and follow directives. Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
The family would like to thank Holly Place in Hagerstown for all of the love and care given to their mom and grandmother during her time there.
