Charles “Charlieboy” Edward Penwell, 71 of Shenandoah Junction passed away Thursday, August 27, 2020 in the Hospice Inpatient Facility. Born October 18, 1948 in Charles Town he was the son of the late Wager Fritz Penwell and Sarah Elizabeth Engle Penwell. He was of Pentecostal faith, worked for William A. Hazel for more than 35 years. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother with a heart of gold. He liked hunting and fishing and was a hardworking family man.
He is survived by daughter, Lisa Wyne of Orange Park, Florida, brothers, Calvin Penwell and wife Patricia of Rio Linda, California, Timmy and wife Patricia of Ranson, sister Janice Reid and husband Brian of Martinsburg, grandchildren Jeremy and Renee and great grandchild, Chanel.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Velma Penwell, son, Charles Wager Penwell, brothers, Gus and Lee Penwell and sisters, Ellen Vines, Juanita Pine and Brenda James.
