Obituary for Darris Jane Sandlin
Darris Jane Sandlin, 82, of Martinsburg passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2020.
Born November 5, 1937 in Fayette, AL she was the daughter of the late Virgil D. Nichols and Roxie Smith Nichols.
Darris was a member of the Hedgesville Baptist Church. She was in the Grandmother’s program at Berkeley County Schools. She was a Senior Companion at Clary Grove.
She is survived by three sons, Wayne Sandlin (Martha), David Sandlin and Jeff Sandlin; one daughter, Jane Peacher (Randy); seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; one brother, Dalphus Nichols; and one sister, Mary McGriff.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howel Wayne “Tommy” Sandlin; one son, Daniel Keith Sandlin; and one brother, Paul Nichols.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Hedgesville Baptist Church with Pastor Scott Sheets. Visitors will be required to wear face masks, practice social distancing, and follow directives.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV 25430.
