Obituary for David Lee Grim

David Lee Grim, 76, of Bunker Hill, WV went to be with the Lord on Tuesday August 4, 2020.

Born February 11, 1944 in Jefferson County, he was the son of the late Susan Rebecca (Nicely) Grim.

Mr. Grim joined the Army in 1966 thru 1969. He served in the Vietnam War June of 1967 to May 1969. In February of 1972 he went to the 167 Air National Guard and worked for twenty-five years and worked for the State of West Virginia for thirty-five years.

He is survived by his wife Stella H. Grim of Bunker Hill, WV; one stepson, Donald L. Saylor; three children, Kelley Ryan Himelwright, David Lee Grim, II, and Mandy Renee Grim; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by three brothers, George, Thomas and James Grim; and two sisters, Kathleen Breenden Grim and Virginia L. Jenkins.

The Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood will be open to receive friends only from the hours of 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, August 9, 2020.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, August 10, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the chapel.

Visitors will be required to wear face masks, practice social distancing, and follow directives.

Interment will be in Middleway Masonic Cemetery with military honors.
