Obituary for Elva M. Graham (Shumaker)
Elva M. Graham, 90, of Martinsburg, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2020 at the Berkeley Springs Center.
Born February 2, 1930 in Mineral County, WV, she was the daughter of the late Roy Shumaker and Grace Rogers Shumaker.
Elva was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Berkeley Springs. She graduated from Berkeley Springs High School in 1948. She worked at Interwoven Mills until moving to Martinsburg in 1961. Elva and Vigil opened the Stitchery in their home before moving the shop to downtown Martinsburg. Virgil and Elva loved to travel enjoying Florida and traveling across the country, she loved to cook and do crafts.
She is survived by her daughter, Sheila Graham and partner, Wyatt Hiller; a grandson, Shawn Gibson; granddaughter, Alison Dignazio and husband, Anthony; and great-grandchildren, Roger Miller, Sara Miller, and Kalip Gibson; great great grandchildren, Leland Graham, Aubree King, Kalila King, and Brianna Dyche.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil R. Graham.
