Obituary for Frances ReVill

Frances ReVill, 84 years young, passed away suddenly, on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 in Martinsburg.

Frances was born on January 28, 1936 in Chicago, IL to Alice Mull and Janie McKnight.

She was employed for many years at the U.S Postal Service, Macy’s and underground Cross Campus Library at Yale University in New Haven, CT. She also worked with various community agencies in CT. Upon retiring to WV, she was employed at Walmart, was active in the Salvation Army Auxiliary and The Berkeley County Senior Center. She attended Bethel Assembly of God where she was active in their Senior Group and their Bible Study Group. She was also a participant at Second Baptist Church where she attended Bible Study and helped with their volunteer clothing closet. Frances worked with the adult handicapped population in Martinsburg for several years. She was a friendly, well-liked, and hard-working person with a servant’s heart who never met a stranger. A lover of books and learning, she graduated after three years of high school as did her daughter and granddaughter. She was very proud of her grandchildren and the fact that they were both hard workers. She liked to remind friends that her grandson was reading fluently at the age of four. He is still an avid reader because Frances read to him constantly and taught him to also become a lover of books.

Frances is survived by her daughter, Michellece Cufone, of Providence, RI; and two grandchildren, Agostino Jonathan (A.J) of Los Angeles, CA, and Christina Frances, of Jersey City, NJ.

She leaves behind a host of good friends especially Rev. Don and Dee LaFaber, who treated her like family, she will be dearly missed by all.

A memorial service will be held at a later date due to the current Covid 19 crisis.

Memorial contributions may be sent in her memory to the Martinsburg Rescue Mission, PO box 843, Martinsburg, WV, 25402.
