Obituary for Glenna Ruth Jenkins (McGee)
Glenna Ruth McGee Jenkins, 85, of Shepherdstown, WV passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2020.
Born March 7, 1935 in Tunnelton, WV she was the daughter of the late Clarence McGee and Jennie Miller McGee.
Glenna graduated from Tunnelton High School. She graduated from Shepherd College where she received her bachelor’s degree in Education.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, traveling, reading, cooking, knitting and sewing.
She is survived by two sons, Dennis S. Jenkins (Karen) of Charles Town, WV, Charles “Scott: Jenkins (Linda) of Hedgesville, WV; four grandchildren, Lindsay Johnson (Craig), LeeAnn Steele (Nate), Charles S. Jenkins (Allison) and Ivy Jenkins; four great-grandchildren, Jacquez Gonzalez, Jesse Jenkins, Rylee Steele and Isabelle Jenkins;
one brother, Robert McGee (Kathy) of Kingwood, WV; one sister, Mary LaRue (Ward) of Williamsport, MD.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse D. Jenkins; two daughters, Teresa Jenkins and Katrina Jenkins; one son, Joseph D. Jenkins; and one brother, Ted McGee.
Graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at 3:00 PM at Elmwood Cemetery in Shepherdstown, WV. Brown Funeral Home will be open to receive friends only from the hours of 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM prior to the service on Saturday, September 12, 2020. Visitors will be required to wear face masks, practice social distancing, and follow directives.
