Obituary for Grover Scott Funkhouser
Grover Scott Funkhouser, Jr, 82, of Martinsburg, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2020 at Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility.
Born February 6, 1938, in Mathias, WV, he was the son of the late Grover Scott Funkhouser, Sr. and Bessie Foltz.
He was a Veteran of the United States Army. While serving in the Army Scott served with the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment commonly known as “the Old Guard” guarding the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. He was owner of the Big Lick Sportsman's Club.
Scott is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Roberts; two granddaughters, Ashley and Jordan; and one grandson Nathan.
The Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood will be open for family to receive friends only from the hours of 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 24, 2020. Visitors will be required to wear face masks, practice social distancing, and follow directives. Interment will private.
