Obituary for Harold Lee Kees
Harold Lee Kees, 89, of Martinsburg, WV, passed away at his home on Monday, August 31, 2020.
Born August 10, 1931 he was the son of the late Lewis Westley Kees and Ethel Virginia Wilt.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1954.
He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.
He worked his early life at Blair Quarry and later retired from the Martinsburg General Motors plant.
He is survived by his son, Donald Lee Kees and wife, Sheila; one daughter, Joyce Albert and husband, Lester; a sister, Wanda Lee McGowan; a brother, James Westley Kees and one sister, Debbie Myers; five grandchildren, Kenny Albert, Nathan Albert and wife, Crystal, Justin Albert, Trisha Kees Ginley and husband, Connor, Kristal Kees Triggs and husband, Matt; eight great grandchildren, Weston Albert, Shay Albert, Bella Albert, Ross Albert, Brandon Albert, Rauri Ginely, Grayson Triggs and Jaxon Triggs; one great-great grandchild, Weslyn Albert.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Mae Creamer Kees whom he married on January 23, 1952; one son, Thomas Harold Kees; one sister, Betty Shackelford; one brother, Milliard (Buck) Kees.
The family will have a family graveside service at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery at Needmore.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Cemetery at Needmore, 1643 Pitzers Chapel Rd, Martinsburg, WV 25403.
