Obituary for Harry David Segar

Harry David Segar, 73, of Martinsburg, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Winchester Medical Center.

Born on November 13, 1946 in Hardeesville, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Ephraim and Hattie Mae Williams Segar.

Harry was a diesel mechanic, and a dump truck driver with Spurgeon Trucking Company for over 40 years. He loved his job, and he was an extremely hard worker. He also loved his family with all his heart. He attended All Nations Church.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Carter Segar of 53 years; Harry has four children, Harry “David” Segar, Jr., and wife, Becky Alberts-Segar, of Spring, TX, Margaret Milord and husband, Antoine, of Winchester, VA, Janice Segar, of Raleigh, NC, and Tawana Graham and husband, Jacob, of Martinsburg, WV; 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; three sisters, Sarah Segar, of Hardeesville, SC, Mrs. Rebecca S. Grant, of Raleigh, NC, and Mrs. Eva S. Roberson, of Rincon, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, and loved ones.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Ephraim Segar, Sr., Bennie Segar, and Ralph A. Segar.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home. Visitors will be required to wear a face masks, practice social distancing, and follow directives.
