Obituary for James Allen Hyatt
James Allen Hyatt, 65, of Hedgesville, passed away at his residence.
Born December 7, 1954 in Washington D.C., he was the son of the late Norval Ray Hyatt and Barbara Lee “Stuckey” Edwards and raised since the age of 5 by his mother and stepfather James L. Edwards.
James was a graduate of Hedgesville High School and James Rumsey Technical Institute. He traveled the United States as a machine designer in the industrial and military sectors. He enjoyed politics and football, being an avid Washington Redskins fan.
He is survived by his son, James M. Hyatt; three stepchildren, Damian Caldwell, Evelyn Long, and Tonya Hite; five grandchildren; three brothers, Jeff Hyatt, James “Butch” Edwards, and Robert “Duke” Edwards; and one sister, Michelle Golden.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Susan.
