Obituary for Lynn Sutherland
Lynn Sutherland, 67, of Wardensville, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2020 at the Willow Tree Manor. Born May 27, 1953, she was the daughter of the late John Arthur Sutherland and Anice Flora Hopwood Sutherland.
Lynn was the first female tuba player to perform in the Virginia All-State Band. She loved dogs, gardening and horse racing. She had worked as a real estate broker for Coldwell Bankers and for the past few years, worked as a librarian at the Wardensville Library.
Lynn is survived by her brother, John Sutherland, and wife Kathleen, of Oakton, Virginia; sister-in-law, Loretta Sutherland, of Burke, Virginia and her niece Luka Sutherland, also of Oakton, Virginia and many extended family members and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Arthur Sutherland.
Services and interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, Lynn’s family requests that memorial contributions in her honor be made to the charity of your choice.
