Obituary for Marlene Virginia Gray (Frye)

Marlene Virginia Gray, 82, of Martinsburg went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 8, 2020.

Born August 5, 1938 in Berkeley County, WV she was the daughter of the late Hassel Sylvester Frye and Valeria Virginia Shriver Frye.

She retired as nurse manager of the OB/GYN Unit at City Hospital.
She had a passion for studying the Bible and for all to know Christ.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Franklin Gray; two daughters, Tanya Noll and Beth LeMaster and husband, Tony; three grandchildren, Ryan Noll and wife, Nicole DuPuis, Megan O’Shea and husband, Conor, and Olivia Wright and husband, Jon; four great-grandchildren, Cloey O’Shea, Rowan Noll, Miles Noll, and Declan O’Shea; one sister, Sandra VanMetre and husband, Harry; and a number of special nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Jeffrey Michael Noll.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude for the loving care of Marlene’s caregivers, Bridget, Linda, Mary Ann, Donna, and Sharon.

The family wishes memorial contributions be made to Good Samaritan Free Clinic, 601 S. Raleigh Street, Martinsburg, WV 25401; Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV 25430; or the Berkeley County Humane Society, 554 Charles Town Road, Martinsburg, WV 25405.
