Obituary for Stanley Orville Stevenson
Stanley Orville Stevenson 91, of Hedgesville West Virginia peacefully passed away Tuesday August 4th, 2020 at his home in Hedgesville.
Stan was born August 7, 1928 in Lincolnville Pa., the son of Willard Maurice Stevenson and Ester E. Myers.
Stanley was a U.S. Army Veteran, he had his own construction business first in upstate New York, and then in West Virginia.
He was an active member of Tomahawk Christian Church.
Stan married Dorothy Evelyn Woodward Donovan May 9, 1963.
Stanley is survived by his wife Dorothy, and 6 children; Jack Donovan, Sharon (Smith), Gayle (Ladd), Mike Donovan, Brian Zeb and Daryl Scott Stevenson, 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren.
Stanley was a skilled carpenter and a master woodworker.
His spirit lives on through the hand-crafted pieces he has created for so many of us.
A private graveside service will be held at the Tomahawk Christian Church, Hedgesville, W.V
