Obituary for Doris Ann Hawkins (Poston)

Doris Ann Hawkins, 82, of Rippon, WV, went to be with the lord on August 21, 2020.

Born September 18, 1937 in Loudoun County, she was the daughter of the late Josephine Alyssa Elmore and Thomas Stanley Poston.

Mrs. Hawkins was a housewife, she is survived by her husband, Robert W. Hawkins; two daughters, Stella H. Grim of Bunker Hill, WV and Donna Sue Swisher of Summit Point, WV; six grandchildren; one step grandchild; seven great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Robert Allen Hawkins, and Michael Randolph Hawkins; two daughters, Brenda Sue Hawkins and Debra Lee Hawkins; four sisters, Ruby Smallwood, Betty Marcum, Mary Katherine Hall, and Patricia Ann Burke; and a brother, Thomas Stanley Poston, Jr.

The Brown Funeral Home Jefferson Chapel in Ranson will be open for family to receive friends only from the hours of 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, August 23,2020. Visitors will be required to wear face masks, practice social distancing, and follow directives.

Funeral service will be held at Jefferson Chapel on Monday, August 24, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with Chaplin Tony Pirrone officiating.

Interment will be held at Murrill Hill Cemetery.
